Happy Earth Day

Today is a big day! Today is a day of reflection, of hope and of action. Our environment (our home) needs attention and care. We can do our part. Don't listen to those who say that recycling that plastic cup won't make a difference. Don't listen to those who say volunteering in your kids school's garden is a waste of time. It's not and yes, it will make a difference. Little actions, here and there - they all add up!
Here are some bullet points I have prepared for my Nutrition Class later on today; I thought I'd post them here to share with more people:
How to do your part for EARTH/Environment:
•Sustainable actions (recycling, saving water, electricity, fossil fuel)
•Buying and using environment-safe products (detergent, cleaning)
•Disposing properly (batteries, plastic, tech-trash)
•Be a conscious consumer (buying from companies that donate to environment, organic, farmer’s market, sustainable fishing) AND LESS from big companies
•Eating less factory-farmed products, eating less in fast food chains
•Volunteering, signing petitions or donating money to organizations
•Reading, getting informed, participating in events
